Why I Started Volunteering at England Netball
I’ve always had a deep love and passion for netball. The sport helped me connect with other girls, build friendships, and push myself beyond my comfort zone. Being tall was definitely a bonus on the court! My dream has always been to work as a physiotherapist for England Netball, so volunteering was a natural first step.
After a long wait, I was thrilled to be accepted to volunteer at the Netball Superleague Final in Birmingham. I drove there with a friend, stayed at a local hotel, and instantly felt the strong sense of community among everyone involved. Meeting so many inspiring women made the experience unforgettable.
I loved it so much and worked hard that I was invited back to volunteer at the Vitality Nations Cup at The Copper Box Arena in London, and more recently, at the 2025 Netball Superleague Final at The O2. One of the highlights was getting to lead three Superleague players around for the day — what an incredible experience!
My advice? Always put yourself out there, meet new people, start conversations, and create memories. You never know where it might lead!
